Sam's Club

Allocation Manager

  • Responsible for all PO creation in Audio category at Sam’s Club

  • Brought together disparate data sources to forecast sales.

  • Responded to dozens of replenishment issues daily, from the minute to the massive.

Client Manager

Advantage Solutions

I worked my way through multiple roles at Advantage Solutions, mainly focused on Walmart merchandising. I worked with major CPG clients to define their priorities and coordinated with our awesome field team to execute and drive sales.

Burton's Comfort Creamery

Co-Owner

Burton's Comfort Creamery started as a food truck in 2013, and now has a full brick and mortar location + an amazing catering van. Check out our instagram here (but only if you're fine wanting ice cream immediately.)

Lone Star Hog Apparel

Co-Owner, CMO

What started as a fun idea making Texan themed shirts for expats turned into the 4 year ride of my life. If you're bored you can watch a video of me talking about it at a 1 Million Cups in Little Rock.

Education

July 2014 - November 2014

ARK Challenge, Little Rock

I was selected to join the 2014 ARK Challenge Accelerator class with a data company I had started. The ARK provided a $20K investment, and un-quantifiable coaching. I pitched in front of countless investors, culminating with a Demo Day at the Clinton presidential library.

August 2009 - May 2013

University of Arkansas

Graduated with a B.S.B.A in Management with a focus on Small business management and entrepreneurship. Was elected Student Body Treasurer and my fraternity's Secretary.

My Skills

I'm great at talking about the things I've done, but bad at saying what I'm good at. I asked former coworkers and they gave me the below. If you have something to add, by all means text me!

Email Marketing / Creative Writing

I've become quite adept at email marketing through Lone Star Hog and other projects. I genuinely have a fun time building a voice and writing various pieces as a brand.

Here's an archived copy of my first $5K email.

Fast Problem Solving

In my corporate roles I developed a reputation for automation and quickly finding workarounds for huge tasks. Rather than burden a whole field team with excel files, I built a Power BI Dashboard they could easily access and filter on their phones.

Niceness

(They said it, not me)
I love teams and connecting with people. The only part of true entrepreneurship I don't enjoy is how isolated it can feel sometimes. I genuinely enjoy coming into work every day and solving problems with cool people. I'm glad that shows.

Data Analysis

I've worked with true quants, and I am NOT one. They use wizardry to model how much orange growing season will impact aircraft sales. What I am really good at is assembling dashboards from data, and then drilling down to troubleshoot or monitoring for opportunities. I'm quite comfortable in Excel, and trying to get better at Power BI. I've used my skillset to achieve higher than industry results in Facebook/Instagram marketing across companies.
